MARGHERITA, April 16: In a concerted effort to promote civic engagement and voters’ awareness, a rally was organized by the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) cell in Margherita in Tinsukia district on Tuesday.
The rally was organised under the guidance of the district election officer of Margherita and in collaboration with the Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLM) and National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) in anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in the state.
The rally commenced from the Margherita College playground and culminated at the Margherita Town High School playground, drawing enthusiastic participation from across different communities.
Participants from various self-help groups and booth level officers marched through the streets of Margherita, holding banners and chanting slogans advocating the need to exercise the right to franchise.
The rally served as a platform to disseminate crucial information regarding polling procedures and the role of citizens in shaping the nation’s future through their ballots.
