Women sent outside Assam in pretext of engagement

MORIGAON, July 13: The student body of Morigaon district stated that a group of miscreants has allegedly sent girls outside Assam by luring them of engagement at the proposed semi conductor plant at Jagiroad.

According to the allegations the girls have been sent outside Assam for training prior engagement at the plant.

“The group of notorious persons has adopted unfair means in the name of engagement in the semi conductor project,” the student body stated.

The president and the secretary of the student’s body have urged the administration to take exemplary punishment against the group of notorious persons who took advantage of the poor condition of the local girls.

They alleged that the persons have been engaging them in private companies in Bengaluru, Karnataka in the name of training for engagement in the Semi Conductor Project.

The students’ body also alleged that the group has been sending the girls outside Assam by collecting money from them in the pretext of job verification.
