New Delhi, April 16: Heatwave conditions are predicted to prevail in different parts of India for the upcoming five days, as per the latest report from the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal are likely to face heat waves from April 16 to 20.
Moreover, north Konkan, Saurashtra, and Kutch may experience such conditions on April 20 and 21. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam are expected to face extreme heat on April 21 and 22, while Telangana may face similar conditions from April 20 to 22.
The IMD also predicts hot and humid weather in Gangetic West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and Rayalaseema from April 20 to 24. Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, and Mahe might experience such weather on April 20 and 21. Coastal areas of Gujarat may face similar conditions from April 20 to 22.
Konkan, Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra are expected to have warm nights from April 22 to 24, with Odisha facing similar conditions from April 21 to 24. Earlier this month, the first wave of heat affected parts of east and peninsular India, including Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Vidarbha, North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, and Telangana.
