New Delhi, Feb 12: Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia has been granted a three-day interim bail by a Delhi court on Monday, allowing him to attend his niece’s wedding.
Special Judge MK Nagpal provided this relief to Sisodia from February 13-15 in the corruption and money laundering cases that are currently being investigated by the CBI and ED, respectively.
Sisodia was previously arrested by the CBI on February 26, 2023, for alleged corruption in the development and implementation of the now-obsolete Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.
Following his arrest by the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) apprehended him on March 9 from Tihar jail in a related money laundering case. The Delhi excise policy, which was implemented by the AAP government in November 2021, was later discontinued at the end of September last year due to corruption allegations.
