Parliament Budget Session to begin on January 31

New Delhi, Jan 11: The last Budget session of the Parliament before the general elections of April-May 2024 will begin on January 31 and is likely to continue till February 9.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is slated to present the interim budget on February 1, as per ANI’s sources.

The session will start with a speech by President of India Droupadi Murmu to the joint assembly of both Houses of Parliament.

The provisional budget typically covers financial needs during the period between the Lok Sabha elections and the establishment of a new government.
