Birds That  Fly Over Everest

Himalayan Monal 

This strikingly colorful pheasant is native to the Himalayan region, including the area around  Mount Everest. 

Snow Partridge 

These hardy birds are found in the high-altitude regions of the Himalayas, and they are known to inhabit the rocky slopes and scree near  Mount Everest. 

Himalayan Griffon 

This vulture species is a common sight in the Himalayas, including the Everest region. 

Lammergeier 

Also known as the bearded vulture, lammergeiers are scavenging birds that thrive in high mountainous regions. 

Alpine Chough 

Alpine choughs are corvid birds well-adapted to  high-altitude  environments. 

Bar-headed goose 

These geese are known for their ability to fly at high altitudes. They have been seen flying at altitudes of up to 29,000 feet, which is just below the summit of  Mount Everest. 

Himalayan Snowcock 

This ground-dwelling bird inhabits rocky alpine areas and is known to occur in the vicinity of Everest. 

Rufous-breasted Accentor 

This small bird is found in alpine and subalpine habitats in the Himalayas, and it is known to occur in the  Everest region.
