In an Instagram post the singer revealed that he suffers from Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which makes him unable move half his face and is unable to perform on stage.

"It is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis," he stated in his video.

"As you can see this eye is not blinking. I can't smile on this side of my face; this nostril will not move. So there's full paralysis on this side of my face."

As per the Mayo Clinic, Ramsay Hunt syndrome "occurs when an outbreak of shingles impacts the facial nerve in front of your ears.

In addition to the aching blisters and rash caused by shingles, Ramsay Hunt syndrome can cause facial paralysis as well as hearing loss in the affected ear."

Bieber spoke to those who are unhappy with some of the cancellations he's had recently for shows and stated that Bieber said that he's "physically, obviously, not capable of doing them."

"This is pretty serious, as you can see. I wish this wasn't the case, but, obviously, my body's telling me I've got to slow down," the man said.

"I hope you guys understand. I'll be using this time to just rest and relax and get back to a hundred percent so that I can do what I was born to do."

He thanked his followers for their patience, and said that he's been practicing facial exercises to aid in his recovery.

He claimed he's not sure what time it'll take him to heal However, earlier in the week it was revealed the three scheduled performances had been postponed.

"It's going to be ok,," he added. "I have hope, and I trust God."
