Yo Yo Honey Singh

Yo Yo Honey Singh was born as Hirdesh Singh in Karampura in New Delhi into a Punjabi Sikh family. He soon became one of the biggest rappers of his times and earned the moniker “the revolutionary music  changer of India.”


Badshah's real name is Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia. He is known for his Indian pop, hip-hop, rap, synthwave, underground rap, pop rap, hardcore rap and freestyle music. He has done songs in Hindi, English, Haryanvi and Punjabi. 


Rapper Raftaar's real name is Kalathilkuzhiyil Devadasan Dilin Nair. You read that right. He began his career in rap in 2008 with Lil Golu and Young Amli (now known as Ikka), recording songs and uploading them on  social sites. 

Hard Kaur

Rapper Hard Kaur's real name is Taran Kaur Dhillon. She was born into a Punjabi Jatt Sikh family and was raised in Kanpur. After developing interest in hip-hop, she started her music career as a rapper.


Rapper King's real name is Arpan Kumar. King has now become a global name after his track 'Maan Meri Jaan' was recreated by American pop star Nick Jonas. 

MC Stan 

MC Stan's real name is Altaf Shaikh. He dropped his debut single, “Wata,” in 2018 and ever since has become one of the most sought-after and popular rappers in India. 

Brodha V 

Brodha V's real name is Vighnesh Shivanand. Born in Kanchipuram, the Tamil Nadu-based artist started rapping at the age of 18 and took part in online rap battles on Orkut.


Naezy's real name is Naved Shaikh. He first broke into mainstream rap with the song "Mere Gully Mein" featuring fellow rapper Divine. A fictional version of his character was portrayed by Ranveer Singh in the Zoya Akhtar-directed 2019 musical film Gully Boy.  


Divine rose to fame with Gully Boy. The rapper's real name is Vivian Wilson Fernandes. Born and raised in Andheri, Mumbai, Divine started gaining popularity after the release of his single "Yeh Mera Bombay" in 2013.

Emiway Bantai

The name Emiway comes from Eminem & Lil Wayne and Bantai comes from the streets of Bombay. However, his real name is Bilal Shaikh and his ancestors hail  from Karnataka.
