HOWRAGHAT, July 12: A tragic road accident on NH 36 in Karbi Anglong under the Uttar Borbil police outpost claimed the life of a senior citizen who was hit by a speeding car while riding his motorcycle.
The incident occurred when a Baleno car, traveling from Nagaon, was moving at high speed and collided with the motorcycle. The impact of the collision knocked the senior citizen off his bike, causing severe injuries that proved fatal. The victim has been identified as Sing Rongphar, a 60-year-old resident of Phuloni Desoi Teron village.

Upon receiving information about the accident, the police promptly arrived at the scene. They took possession of the deceased’s body and subsequently sent it to Diphu for a post-mortem examination.
