Guwahati, Feb 5: Justice Vijay Bishnoi took oath as the Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court at the Raj Bhavan in Guwahati.

The ceremony was presided over by Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, along with several other dignitaries, was present at the event.

CM Sarma extended his congratulations and best wishes to Justice Bishnoi for a successful tenure. Prior to this appointment, Bishnoi served as a Judge of the Rajasthan High Court. The commencement of his tenure is effective from the date he assumes charge.
The announcement was made through an official notification from the appointment division of the department of justice under the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.
