KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang public interaction continues

HOWRAGHAT, Feb 8: KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang held a public interaction programme at Semson Sing Ingti High School playground at Dhoujukja in Howraghat. The interactive session was part of multiple such programmes to know about public grievances.

Addressing the meeting with the theme “CHINGRUM NANG, CHETHAN NANG, CHINGTHUR NANG” or “Let’s unite, let’s interact, let’s develop,” the chief executive member (CEM) of KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang said that he was here to know the problems and grievances of the people of Howraghat Member of Autonomous Council (MAC).

CEM Ronghang said, “This for the first time in history that KAAC is holding an official meeting here. This is not a public meeting but the whole of KAAC is here to look into your problems and grievances. The principal secretary, secretary and officers of KAAC are present here. All your memorandums and your views will be acted upon after the interaction programme is over. Issues on sub-division, roads and others will be discussed at KAAC meeting.”

He further said, “In Howraghat constituency, all communities are living in harmony. Karbi, Bodo, Assamese, Adivasi, Gurkha and others, I thank you for maintaining harmony. There is no tension, no clashes, people of all religion are here.”    

The CEM also enumerated the welfare schemes of the BJP government like distribution of ration cards, free medical expenses up to Rs 5 lakh and PMAY houses. He also mentioned that due to the good work, the BJP has come back to power in Delhi after 27 years.

Criticising the opposition he said that chaos prevailed during their rule and that during the Autonomous State Demand Committee (ASDC) regime, violence and killings engulfed the region and during the Congress people were affected by communal clashes and insurgencies. He stated that BJP has brought peace in the region.

CEM said, “There should be good road communication, there should be harmony and poverty should be eliminated where no one goes hungry. The KAAC does not only consist of the MP, MLAs and MACs but it’s the people. KAAC is working very hard for which it needs the people’s blessing.”

Local MLA, Darsing Ronghang; MLA Bidyasing Engleng; KAAC chairman, Raju Tisso and BJP, East Karbi Anglong district committee, president, Roland Killing were also present in the public interaction programme.
