GUWAHATI, Nov 6: In a symbolic inauguration, Chandra Mohan Patowary, the Assam minister for environment & forests, officially declared the commencement of the Nameri National Park & Tiger Reserve’s 2023-24 season. The momentous event, held on Monday, was graced by the presence of MLA Padma Hazarika. Minister Patowary not only initiated the gates for the new season but also laid the foundation stone for a new entry gate for the park, signifying a milestone in its development.

Accompanied by distinguished personalities such as PCCF & HoFF MK Yadav, DC Sonitpur Debo Kumar Mishra, and the Park’s Field Director Piraisoodan. B, the ceremony also featured a special program held at the Community Hall in Potasali. The event highlighted the commitment to preserve the park’s natural beauty and enhance visitor experiences. The presence of various dignitaries underscored the shared dedication towards the conservation and management of this precious natural reserve.
