Retired employee of Sivasagar Municipality Board and a popular lady of the town, Minu Barua, passed away at her Sankar Mandir Road residence on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. She was suffering from cancer. She was 71. She leaves behind three sons, including popular youth leader Pranob Barua, and a daughter.
BJP leader Kushal Duwory, BJP Nagar Mandal, District Committee, New Look Academy Institution, Hari Kirtan Namghar, Sankar Samaj Namghar, Brihattar Sivasagar Press Club, Municipality Employees’ Association, Sivasagar Municipality Taxpayers’ Association, and several other organisations have condoled her death.
