Abdul Farukh, a teacher and a resident of Kalakati village of South Sootea breathed his last on the late night of Thursday due to brief illness. He was aged 45. Late Farukh was closely associated with many socio-cultural and educational organisations of the greater Kalakati area. Organisations including Biswanath district committee of AAMSU, Assam Sankhyalaghu Sangram Parishad, No 1 Sootea GP, No 2 Kalakati LPS besides other organisations and individuals paid tributes. His untimely demise has cast a pall of gloom in the entire area.
