Tarini Choudhury Girls’ HS School alumni reunion

GUWAHATI, June 24: The Tarini Choudhury Girls’ Higher Secondary and Multi-Purpose School Alumni Association organised a daylong get-together program at Kumar Bhaskar Natya Mandir, Guwahati, on Sunday in a befitting manner. During the program, 26 alumni over 75 years old were felicitated. Senior-most retired teachers Lilly Roy Chowdhury, Ila Choudhury, and Chitra Choudhury inaugurated the program by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

A cultural program was performed by the alumni, including Namita Bhattacharyya, Juri Dutta Choudhury, Dolly Baishya, Karabi Goswami, Gitumoni Kalita, Sisirkana Das Deka, Dr Anjanamoyee Saikia, and Dr Marami Das, along with a Saraswati Vandana and a chorus. All the members, including Dr Arati Deka, advisor; Dr Jayashree Choudhury, president; Jonali B Das, general secretary; and Manisha Sarma, treasurer, played active roles in ensuring the meet ran smoothly. The entire program was conducted by alumnus and retired principal of the school, Dr Chayanika Sharma.
