Woman leader passes away

HOWRAGHAT, Jan. 20: Bodo community woman leader and former president of All Bodo Women Welfare Federation (ABWWF), a resident of Dakhin Dighalipar village Dikamai Brahma (74) died in her residence this morning at 7:45.

Late Dikamai Brahma, who was a social worker, her husband pre-deceased her and she has no children. She had been ill health for a long time and as soon as the news of her demise spread, Bodo community leaders and others flocked to her residence to offer their condolences to the family.

Howraghat Tiniali Kachari Samaj, secretary, Biren Swargiary; Karbi Anglong District ABWWF assistant secretary, Hukhushri Daimary; Howraghat Tiniali Regional ABWWF secretary, Prabhawati Basumatary; former secretary, Tulsi Wari and others visited the residence.
