Women & Child Development Minister Savitri Thakur reviews AWCs in Morigaon

MORIGAON, Aug 22: Minister for Women & Child Development (State) Savitri Thakur visited Morigaon on Thursday. The central state minister arrived to review the progress of Anganwadi Centers (AWCs) and various schemes under Women & Child Development (W&CD), Assam, in the district. 

Earlier, minister Savitri Thakur was warmly welcomed by the district administration. The minister participated in a review meeting held at the DC’s conference hall at 3:00 pm. She was accompanied by Finance minister Ajanta Neog, district commissioner Debashis Sarma, director of Women & Child Development Rahul Das, deputy directors, ADCs, COs, DSWO, CDPOs, and heads of convergence departments, as well as the SPMU of Poshan Abhiyaan.

After the review meeting, the minister took a field visit and is scheduled to depart after assessing a few AWCs.
