All Assam Choreographer And Counsellor Association To Organise Workshop On Acting

DEMOW, Feb 17: The All Assam Choreographer and Counsellor Association held a press meet in the auditorium of Demow Press Club on Wednesday where they said that they will organise a workshop in Jyoti Chitraban, Kahilipara, Guwahati. The workshop will be on acting, dance, costume and makeup. The workshop will start from March 1-16, 2022. Under the aegis of All Assam Choreographer and Counsellor Association for the first time in the northeast where 80 choreographers will train the students in Jyoti Chitraban, Guwahati. In the workshop, senior artists will train students. The artists from various places will be present in the workshop. Moreover, in the press meet they talked about Chandana Devi (27), an artist who hails from Guwahati and that both the kidneys of Chandana Devi are damaged, she is undergoing treatment and is facing financial problems. A part of the earnings from the workshop will be spent for the treatment of Chandana Devi along with some other artists who are facing similar problems like her. The choreographers will not take any remuneration and they will train the students for free. The students will have to pay registration fees to participate in the workshop. In the press meet, Akhim Gogoi, secretary, Santumoni Sarma, joint secretary along with other dignitaries of All Assam Choreographer and Counsellor Association were present.
