Former headmaster of Meteka Primary School and a popular citizen of the area Amulya Saikia (70) died in a hospital in Dibrugarh. A large number of people thronged his residence in Jolagaon on Sunday following his death. His death is mourned by over a dozen socio-cultural organisations of Sivasagar.
