DONGKAMUKAM, May 9: One day district level orientation of external evaluators on Gunotsav 2022 was held at Dongkamukam High School premises here in West Karbi Anglong. The Gunotsav 2022 is to be held from June 1 to 4 for the district.
The deputy commissioner of West Karbi Anglong, Krishna Barua in her inaugural speech appealed to the officers to give their best to the students during the Gunotsav program. She asked everyone to contribute latest ideas, storytelling, motivation and promote them to the next level.
The DC also requested to study the environment of that particular school in the village such as infrastructure, the School Management Committee’s (SMC) role, community participation, etc.
The master trainers who imparted training to the official evaluators were Samujjal Bora, Subbra Das, Dr Surya Newar Sarah and nodal officer, Sarim Sing Terang in three different rooms.
The evaluators were given training on examination procedure, interactive ideas, teachers attendance, encouraging students, awareness, sportsmanship spirit of students, to study their drawbacks, SMCs and local community’s role in village schools, infrastructure development, maintaining Covid protocols, etc.
They were also informed that marks will be allotted to the schools if they maintain the mentioned procedure.
The trainers also directed the officers concerned to attend the said school by 8:30 am and to start their evaluation duty by 9 am sharp.
It is worth mentioning that the 3rd phase of Gunotsav 2022 will cover 41,600 students in 738 Upper Primary (UP) and Lower Primary Schools (LP) including Class IX of West Karbi Anglong.
The inauguration of the training was presided over by DMC (District Mission Co-ordinator), SSA, West Karbi Anglong, Hakim Rongpi and attended by West Karbi Anglong ADC, ST Rahman, SDO, Konkon Sharma, 127 1st class and 2nd class departmental officers of West Karbi Anglong.
