Death anniversary of martyr observed

MORIGAON, Oct 7: The 51th death anniversary of martyr Anil
Bora who sacrificed himself for the historic language movement
in 1972 was observed on Saturday.
He was the general secretary of Nagaon College. On this day in
1972, while leading the historic language movement, martyr
Anil Barak was conspiratorially physically tortured to death by
an anti-Assam and anti-Assamese gang in Hojai, Nagaon
district.
Morigaon Natuwagaon Bhakha Swahid Anil Bora Smriti Yuba
Sangha celebrated the event in great enthusiasm at its office
premises. ADC Dyotiva Bora attended the event as the chief
guest in programme and delivered a valuable speech on the
day.
