GUWAHATI, Oct 12: Assam’s Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve will open for the 2023-24 season on October 15, according to an official statement.
The park will partially reopen for Jeep Safaris in two ranges: Kaziranga Range, Kohora, and Western Range, Bagori. However, it will remain closed every Wednesday afternoon.
Tourists will be allowed to travel up to Bimoli Tiniali via Donga Tower under Western Range, Bagori, and from Mihimukh via Daflang Tower via Vaichamari Junction under Kaziranga Range, Kohora until further notification.
Kaziranga National Park is typically closed from May to October due to the risk of Brahmaputra river floods. This partial reopening marks the start of the tourist season in one of India’s most renowned wildlife reserves.
