GUWAHATI, Nov 27: A devastating fire erupted on Sunday evening, engulfing ‘Kaamakaazi’, a popular floating restaurant and bar situated on the Brahmaputra River at Lachit Ghat in Guwahati, Assam. The blaze reduced the restaurant to ashes, causing significant property damage.
The fire, suspected to have originated from a series of cylinder explosions, swept through the restaurant swiftly, leaving it completely charred. Firefighters promptly responded to the emergency, deploying multiple fire tenders to combat the raging inferno.
Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. However, the extent of the damage to the restaurant is estimated to be in the lakhs of rupees.
