Assam Rifles conducts health and hygiene awareness lectures

BISWANATH CHARIALI, May 31: Lokra Battalion under the aegis of Headquarter 21 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) conducted lectures on ‘Health and Hygiene’ at Lokra Garrison and at Helem under Biswanath district on Monday, stated a press release.
The lectures were conducted by the medical rep of the Unit Hospital, Lokra Battalion, with an aim to educate the local populace about various lifestyle diseases, their causes and remedial measures. The attendees including the children were also enlightened on preventive measures against the Covid and how maintaining a good hygiene helps in prevention of such diseases so as to keep up a healthy lifestyle.
Lectures were attended by a number of villagers including children at Lokra and Helem as well. The local people expressed their heartfelt gratitude and conveyed regards for the continuous efforts taken by the Assam Rifles to improve the society.
