Training on sports integrated pedagogy organised

TEZPUR, March 18: A 4-day training on sports integrated pedagogy for teachers/CRCCs/BRPs(BRG) members was organised by the District Institute of Education and Training Sonitpur. About 35 participants from 7 educational blocks of Sonitpur and Biswanath district attended the training program. The training was inaugurated by the principal of DIET Sonitpur, Samirjyoti Bora. Senior lecturer Rima Borah also encouraged the participants with an enlightening speech.

The first session of the training started with an explanation of the importance of SIP by the coordinator of the program, Achyut Deori. Different sessions on the integration of sports with different subjects like language, science, EVS, mathematics were conducted by different RPs engaged in the program, namely, Ranjan Saikia, Partha Pratim Dutta, Dilip Swargiary, Dimpi Khanikar, Sangeeta Devi, and Rashmi Rekha Rajkhowa.

All the sessions were conducted engaging the participants in different types of minor games, recreational games, yoga, aerobics, and also indigenous games that boosted the energy, confidence, and sportsmanship among all the participants.

The program successfully ended with words from the participants on using the different training techniques for the holistic development of the students.
