SAN FRANCISCO, March 19: The Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) organized a special ‘havan’ at a Hindu temple in San Francisco, USA, with hundreds of Indian-American technology professionals from Silicon Valley participating in the ritual to pray for the re-election of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
In a press release, the OFBJP, USA (San Francisco Bay Area Chapter), stated that the ‘havan’ was not merely a ritual but a collective invocation for the fulfillment of the wishes of the majority of Indians and NRIs.
The event witnessed a large turnout, with numerous attendees joining in the prayers for Modi’s comprehensive victory in the upcoming polls.
“The community came together to pray for a decisive victory for the ruling BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi in the upcoming parliamentary elections, echoing the popular sentiment of ‘Abki Baar, 400 Paar’,” the release highlighted.
Expressing deep-rooted faith in the democratic process and aspirations for continued progress and governance reforms in India, the OFBJP emphasized that the spiritual gathering symbolized the collective hopes of the Indian diaspora.
Prime Minister Modi has set ambitious targets for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), aiming to secure more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, with a goal of 370-plus seats for the BJP alone.
The ‘havan’ in San Francisco underscores the strong support and enthusiasm among Indian-Americans for the re-election of Prime Minister Modi, reflecting their optimism for India’s future under his leadership.
As the Lok Sabha elections draw closer, such events serve to galvanize support for the BJP and bolster the party’s electoral prospects both within India and among the overseas Indian community.
