JioCinema release roster of IPL commentators, includes a series of superstars

New Delhi, March 20: A selection of celebrated celebrities will serve as expert analysts for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, starting on March 22. The 17th edition of the tournament will be broadcast on JioCinema in 12 languages, including a debut in Haryanvi.

The Haryanvi commentary will be led by ex-India opener Virender Sehwag. Furthermore, Ajay Jadeja, another former India cricketer, will be a Gujarati language expert. Other experts include former Australian cricketer Shane Watson, ex-New Zealand coach Mike Hesson, Sehwag and Jadeja, who will provide exclusive access to IPL team dressing rooms.

Sehwag, having mentored Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab, will be joined by Manvinder Bisla, a standout player in the 2012 IPL Final, in the Haryanvi team.

Watson, who has had successful stints with the Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings, remains involved with the IPL. His unbeaten score of 117 runs in the 2018 Final is considered one of the greatest IPL performances.

Hesson, who has previously coached Kings XI Punjab and served as the director of cricket operations for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), will provide on-air analysis.
