Engineer and farmer Abhijit Patil, renowned for his cultivation of unconventional fruits, including Red Banana and Dragon Fruit, led the successful cultivation of the Blue Java Banana on a 2-acre plot in Karmala Taluka, Solapur District. The Blue Java Banana, originating from South-East Asia and colloquially known as the vanilla banana due to its ice cream-like taste, boasts significant nutritional value and health benefits.
