GUWAHATI, June 7 (PTI): Assam’s flood situation continued to improve as the affected population decreased to around 12,700 on Tuesday, an official bulletin said.
With no new deaths reported, the toll in this year’s flood and landslides remained at 38.
No major river in the state is currently flowing over the danger level, the bulletin said.

The Assam State Disaster Management Authority’s (ASDMA) daily flood bulletin said 12,747 people are still reeling under waters.
Cachar, Dima Hasao and Morigaon continued to remain affected by the floods.
Till Monday, 31,085 people in four districts were affected by the floods.
Altogether 530 people were taking shelter in one relief camp in Silchar, while six relief distribution centres remained operational in Haflong.
Floodwaters damaged roads, houses and other infrastructure in Dibrugarh, South Salmara and Udalguri districts.
Erosions caused by the different rivers were reported from Biswanath, Dhemaji, South Salmara, Tinsukia and Udalguri districts, the bulletin said.
Further, landslides triggered by rainfall damaged personal properties in Silchar and Karimganj, the bulletin added.
