Pushpgeet Financial Services hosts seminar in Guwahati

GUWAHATI, June 16: India’s leading investment and financial company, Motilal Financial Services Ltd, in collaboration with regional partner Pushpgeet Financial Services, organised a seminar aimed at educating and raising awareness among investors in Assam and North East. The seminar featured sessions titled ‘Nivesh ki Baat, Siddhartha Khemka ke Saath’ and ‘Option Jaaniye, Chandan Taparia ke Saath’, where both speakers provided insights to the investors. The event was well-attended by a large number of investors from Guwahati, who appreciated the initiative by Pushpgeet Financial Services, the regional partner of Motilal Oswal Mumbai. B L Agarwalla, Sanjay Agarwal, and Manish Agarwalla, co-owners of Pushpgeet Financial Services, were also present at the seminar.

Siddhartha Khemka, senior group vice president and head of research at Motilal Oswal, highlighted India’s unique economic prospects, emphasising factors such as solid macroeconomic indicators, healthy corporate earnings, stable interest rates, moderate inflation, and ongoing policy initiatives. He mentioned that with the elections concluded, the focus is likely to shift towards fundamental bottom-up stock selection. Khemka outlined key factors currently influencing investor sentiment, including the Union Budget, monsoon progress, and movements in interest rates. He noted that Nifty is currently trading at a forward P/E of approximately 20x, slightly above its 10-year average. He recommended investment themes in sectors such as financials, consumption, discretionary, autos, industrials, real estate, and telecom.

Chandan Taparia, senior vice president and analyst-derivatives at Motilal Oswal, discussed the rapid growth of the options market and its opportunities for traders. He emphasised the importance of proper trading strategies, risk management, and discipline in capitalising on the potential of options trading. Taparia mentioned the increasing popularity of algo trading in Indian derivatives markets, particularly in option strategies aimed at mitigating risk and achieving substantial returns.

Throughout the session, investors and traders engaged with experts during the ‘Aap Ke Sawal Expert Ke Jawab’ segment, where queries were addressed comprehensively. The interaction provided valuable insights into investment strategies and market dynamics, reinforcing the commitment of Pushpgeet Financial Services and Motilal Oswal to investor education and empowerment.
