KOILAMATI, June 27: Karbi Students Association (KSA), Nilip Branch felicitated successful HLSC examination candidates at Chokihola open stage.
354 students from various high schools of Nilip appeared at Chokihola Examination Centre out of which 243 passed. 26 students passed in the first division, 106 in the second and 111 in the third division. The pass percentage from Chokihola examination centre was 68.64%.
The KSA felicitated the 243 students for their success. In a separate function, the KSA felicitated the first division holder Sangmir Teron for securing 81.81 percent with letter marks in Mathematics, Social Science, Hindi and General English; Klirdap Engtipi, who secured 78.6 percent with letter marks in Hindi and Sarkiri Hanse securing 78.4 percent with letter marks in Karbi subject.
The KSA Nilip Branch particularly congratulated Sarkiri Hanse for obtaining letter marks in Karbi subject as he is the first student to secure letter marks in the subject. This is an encouragement for other students to opt for the Karbi subject as MIL to promote their mother tongue. SEBA has introduced the Karbi subject as MIL from the 2021-2022 academic session.
The programme was chaired by president of KSA, Nilip Branch, Gabriel Killing and attended by president of Bokajan Branch, Moniram Teron; former Nilip Member of Autonomous Council (MAC), Semson Tisso; ASDC leader Sunil Tokbi; president of Nilip Karbi Cultural Society, Suresh Tisso and president of Nilip Karbi Lammet Amei, Bilison Terang.
