RPF of Northeast Frontier Railway honours freedom fighters

GUWAHATI, July 7: Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was celebrated by Railway Protection Force (RPF) of NF Railway at the premises of the Guwahati Railway Station. As a chief guest Anshul Gupta, general manager, NFR was present on the occasion. Pranav Kumar, principal chief security commissioner of RPF/NFR along with other dignitaries was also present.
On the occasion the freedom fighters and next of kin of freedom fighters of Assam were honoured. Renowned freedom fighter Krishna Kanta Lahkar, president, Asom State Freedom Fighters Association was also present at this celebration.
As a part of the celebration, the achievements and contributions of the RPF/Lumding Division were appreciated. The RPF of the Lumding Division have succeeded in carrying out various operations from apprehending persons involved in illegal activities to rescuing victims from human traffickers. A video wall vehicle and a motorcycle rally were also flagged off by chief guest Anshul Gupta. A sapling plantation programme was also organised as a part of the celebration at the concourse of the Guwahati Railway Station.
