World Breastfeeding Week observed in Sootea

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Aug 1: The World Breastfeeding Week convened by the Integrated Child Development Project, Sootea under the department of Social Welfare was observed here on Monday. In this regard, a procession was taken out through LB road to NH 15 to make people aware about breastfeeding and its importance. The participants including officials of the Social Welfare department, Anganwadi workers and helpers participated in the procession. Notably, the World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated from August 1 to 7 every year.
