Team Byatikram completes 60-day anti-drugs awareness campaign

GUWAHATI, Aug 3: Byatikram MASDO successfully completed the 60-days anti-drug, tobacco, and liquor awareness campaign by calling a meeting with Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, director general of police, Assam. Dr Saumen Bharatiya, president of Byatikram MASDO along with the team members met DGP and presented a painting by Tulika Goswami and apprised him about the successful completion of the 60 days activities.
Earlier in the morning, the Byatikram MASDO in association with Kamrup (M) District Yoga Association, Guwahati, Assam hosted a Yoga Orientation Program at Deshbhakta Tarunram Phookan Indoor Stadium, Nehru Stadium marking the completion of the ‘60 Days Anti-Drug, Tobacco and Liquor Awareness Campaign’. The program was an initiative to make people aware of the healing power of yoga to lead a happy and healthy lifestyle and also to spread awareness about the prevention of substance abuse.
Dr Saumen Bharatiya, president of Byatikram MASDO thanked everyone and said, “We fully support the plan of the Government of Assam to build drug-free Assam and the Byatikram family will always continue to do such activities and help build drug-free Assam in the near future as well.”
During the meeting, the director general of police congratulated the entire team for the successful completion of the program and urged the organisation to continue such programs in the coming days.
Furthermore, the special Yoga Orientation Program was attended by eminent actor Pranjal Saikia, president of Kamrup district (Metro) Yoga Association Munindra Patwari, treasurer of Assam Yoga Association Prasenjit Ganguly, prominent sports journalist Kalyan Das, vice president of All India Handball Association Amalendro Patwari, yoga expert Debojit Nath, beautician Mala Mahanta, yoga guru Swapna Goswami of Vivekananda Kendra and students of various other yoga institutions. The program started with different yoga exercises preceded by a beautiful music therapy session addressed by music therapist Anubhuti Kakati Goswami and a song performance by singer Dr Jayashree Devi. Further, the students of Durlabh Yoga Kendra mesmerised the audience with an artistic yoga performance. Another yoga demonstration was shown by Urbi Tahbildar and Ryan Gupta from Kamrup district (Metro) Yoga Association. The program concluded with a phenomenal drama called ‘Rupantar’, directed by Rashmi Chiring Phukan followed by a special message on yoga & its benefits by yoga expert Debojit Nath.
