Assembly PAC team reviews government schemes in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, July 9: A seven-member delegation of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Assam Legislative Assembly visited Kokrajhar on Wednesday to review the status of various government schemes being implemented in the district.

The team was led by MLA Nurul Huda.

During their inspection, the delegation conducted field visits to assess the progress and ground-level effectiveness of several development initiatives under different departments.

As part of their itinerary, the PAC members visited an agriculture department project site in Dimlaguri and reviewed three ongoing projects under the Soil Conservation Department in the Uttar Basbari area.

The primary objective of the visit was to evaluate the transparency, efficiency and accountability in the execution of public welfare schemes.

The committee is expected to submit its observations and recommendations for further improvement based on the findings of the inspection.
