AGARTALA, July 17: In preparation for the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday convened a Chintan Baithak to discuss developmental strategies for the Janajati communities and to formulate a roadmap for the polls scheduled next year.

The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Manik Saha, was attended by BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharya, Tribal Welfare Minister Bikas Debbarma, former MP Rebati Tripura, tribal MLAs, MDCs, and other key tribal leaders of the party.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Saha described the Chintan Baithak as a vital step towards strengthening the party and aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for tribal development.

“We follow the guidance of the central leadership. This Chintan Baithak was organised to reflect on PM Modi’s initiatives for the Janajati communities and evaluate what the state government has achieved so far. With the TTAADC elections approaching, it is important to frame our message and outreach strategy effectively,” said Saha.

He added that the BJP regularly holds such sessions with tribal leaders to improve coordination and effectiveness on the ground.

“The objective is to decide how we move forward, what directions to take, and how to reinforce our organisation. BJP is the world’s largest political party and is committed to inclusive development, especially for the backward communities, as envisioned by Prime Minister Modi,” he added.
