Nandita Gorlosa Reviews Departmental Progress In Dima Hasao

HAFLONG, Aug 12: 
A review meeting was held in view of discussion regarding various schemes and projects implementation of development activities by the entrusted departments under North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council of Dima Hasao district on Friday at Haflong Circuit House conference hall.
The meeting was chaired by Nandita Gorlosa, Assam minister for Power, Mines & Minerals, etc., in presence of deputy commissioner, Dima Hasao Nazreen Ahmed and principal secretary, NCHAC Thai Tsho Daulagupu. Others present in the meeting were deputy secretaries of NCHAC Rebecca Changsan, Meganjoy Thaosen and all departmental heads.
During the meeting, the minister gave clear instructions to the departments that works should be done diligently with utmost care considering the schemes that directly are going to impact the people especially in interior villages of the district. She stated that life in rural places is not as easy as experienced by those in towns, it is only if the departments efficiently carry out their duties the poor will get benefit of the government introduced schemes.
Later during the day, minister Nandita Gorlosa visited the senior citizens of Haflong town and those in nearby areas. Paying her gratitude and respect, she also gifted the Indian national flag as a part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The minister visited as many as thirty senior citizens on the day.
