TEZPUR, Sept 18: The District Employment Exchange (Model Career Centre), Tezpur, under the Directorate of Employment & Craftsman Training, Assam, Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, in collaboration with the National Career Service Project of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, organised a district-level job recruitment drive on Thursday at Kalaguru Sangeet Mahavidyalaya Field, Chandmari.
The initiative sought to bridge the gap between employers and jobseekers by providing a platform for interaction, interviews, and on-the-spot hiring.

Employers from education, healthcare, manufacturing, manpower services, telecom, and motor dealership sectors participated, including TKC World School, Swiggy Limited, SG Enterprises, Patanjali Foods, Sunit Breweries Pvt Ltd, Sodexo India Services Pvt Ltd, Dorika Hospital, Powerline Genset, Jio Telecom, T&I Pvt Ltd, Wazir Skills Pvt Ltd, and RD Motors.
Tezpur MLA Prithiraj Rava addressed the gathering, highlighting government efforts to mobilise unemployed youth and encourage them to explore private sector opportunities.
A Q&A session led by Young Professional Santanu Shekhar Saikia of the National Career Service offered jobseekers guidance on career choices.
Volunteers from Edupur Foundation and NCC supported the event’s smooth management.
Officials said the initiative reflects the District Employment Exchange’s commitment to expanding private sector opportunities and channelling them towards the youth of Assam.
