Guwahati, 16 Oct: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that a team from the state police will leave for Singapore on 20 October to meet local authorities regarding the ongoing investigation into the death of singer Zubeen Garg.
Taking to X, Sarma wrote, “Another step forward towards justice for our beloved Zubeen. The Singapore Police authorities will meet the Assam Police team led by Sri Munna Gupta, ADGP and Head of SIT, on 21st October. Our team will travel to Singapore on 20th October accordingly. Our collective resolve remains — Justice for Zubeen will prevail.”
The meeting is expected to facilitate the exchange of findings between the Special Investigation Team (SIT) from Assam and the Singapore Police. This follows weeks of public demand for clarity surrounding the sudden demise of the artist.
