GUWAHATI, Oct 18: HDFC Bank Limited has reported a 10.8 percent year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹186.4 billion for the quarter ended September 30, 2025.
Profit before tax for the quarter stood at ₹244.2 billion.
The bank’s net revenue for the period grew 10.3 percent to ₹459.0 billion, compared to ₹416.0 billion in the same quarter last year.
The total balance sheet size as of September 30, 2025, was ₹40,030 billion, up from ₹36,881 billion a year earlier.
Average deposits during the September 2025 quarter rose 15.1 percent to ₹27,105 billion from ₹23,540 billion in the corresponding quarter of 2024, and 2 percent from ₹26,576 billion in the June 2025 quarter.
Net interest income for the quarter increased 4.8 percent to ₹315.5 billion from ₹301.1 billion in the year-ago period.
The bank’s net revenues for the half year ended September 30, 2025, stood at ₹990.7 billion, up from ₹821.0 billion in the first half of 2024.
Gross non-performing assets accounted for 1.24 percent of gross advances as of September 30, 2025.
As of the end of the quarter, HDFC Bank’s distribution network comprised 9,545 branches and 21,417 ATMs across 4,156 cities and towns, compared to 9,092 branches and 20,993 ATMs in 4,088 locations a year earlier. The bank said that 50 percent of its branches are located in semi-urban and rural areas.
