One died in elephant attack in Karbi Anglong

DIPHU, Nov 06: A 45- years old Advasi man killed by a wild elephant on the  muddy road at Dillai-Khatkhati Bordering area in Karbi Anglong District, Assam.The incident took place on November 05, 2025 evening.

The incident took place, when the victim Pradip Langun (45 years) was returning home from the weekly market taking household items on his bicycle in the evening of Nov 05, Suddenly, in the middle of the muddy road elephant attack Pradip Langun led him dead.

After the incident severals gathered at the incident site, forest officials, Police personnel etc.

Locals said, such incident has been taking place here for many years, several people died in the jumbo attack. After several complaints also forest officials failed to provide safety to the villagers residing in the Dillai- Kharkhtai Bordering area, stated by Locals. The public claims that very poor road infrastructure is also one of the main reasons for such incidents.

The family of Victim Pradip Langun goes in dark, 4 Child, an old father and other family members are in deep pain.
