His remark came after the NDA’s decisive victory in the Bihar Assembly elections.

Phukan said the people of Bihar had once again reposed their faith in the NDA under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar leader Nitish Kumar.

He said the mandate demonstrated the strength of the alliance and the trust people have in its governance.

Expressing confidence about Assam’s political landscape, he added that the BJP was poised to secure a similar landslide victory in the upcoming Assam Assembly elections under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
