Guwahati, Nov 24:A young journalist was found dead on Monday morning inside the office of a Guwahati digital media organisation, prompting a police inquiry into events that unfolded the previous night.
Police said the body of Ritumoni Roy was discovered by colleagues when they unlocked the premises at Christian Basti on November 24.

Ritumoni had reported for duty on November 23 but did not return home after her shift. When staff arrived the next morning, they found her inside the office.
Police opened a case and began examining the circumstances surrounding her death. Officers said the timeline of her movements and the final hours inside the workplace remain under scrutiny.
Ritumoni had earlier worked with multiple digital outlets in Guwahati. Friends and colleagues said she was preparing for her wedding scheduled for December 5, with invitations already sent out. The development has left her social circle unsettled and seeking clarity.
