DIPHU, Dec 13: As part of Swachhata Pakhwada being observed from December 1 to 15, 186 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted a comprehensive cleanliness drive on Saturday at the playground of Government Higher Secondary School, Namsai.
Under the leadership of Commandant DK Singh, personnel actively participated in cleaning the playground, systematically removing garbage, plastic waste and other refuse, restoring the area to a hygienic condition. The drive aimed to spread awareness about cleanliness, environmental protection and public hygiene among students, local residents and the wider community, reinforcing the 186 Bn CRPF’s commitment to supporting national campaigns like the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The programme was conducted under the supervision of DK Singh, with participation from AA Maheo, Second-in-Command (2IC), Sandip Sharma, Second-in-Command (2IC), Deputy Commandant Sourabh Somvanshi and Assistant Commandant Amit Verma. Their involvement motivated the troops and highlighted the importance of civic responsibility.
The initiative concluded with a strong message emphasising collective responsibility and sustained efforts to maintain cleanliness in public spaces, earning appreciation from local administration, youths and members of the public.
