GUWAHATI, Dec 23: Newly elected National Executive President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Nitin Nabin, will arrive in Assam on December 26 on a two-day visit to participate in the BJP Assam Pradesh State Executive Meeting to be held on December 26 and 27 at Kalakshetra Auditorium here.
The State Executive Meeting will deliberate on the prevailing political situation in Assam, review organisational matters and hold detailed discussions on electoral strategy and policy, laying down the roadmap for the 2026 Assam Legislative Assembly elections.
This was stated by Manoj Baruah, Vice-President of BJP Assam Pradesh, in a press statement issued on Monday.
The meeting will be attended by senior party leaders, including BL Santosh, BJP Assam Election in-charge and National vice-president Baijayant Jay Panda, co-in-charge Sunil Sharma, BJP North East coordinator Sambit Patra, state in-charge Harish Dwivedi, National secretary Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, along with Rituraj Sharma, Union minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Pabitra Margherita.
The meeting will feature a special address by chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and will be presided over by BJP Assam Pradesh President Dilip Saikia.
All Members of Parliament and the Legislative Assembly, state office-bearers, executive and council members, along with nearly 800 party karyakartas, are expected to attend.
The State Executive Meeting will begin at 2.30 pm on December 26 and conclude at 2.30 pm on December 27.
Meetings of the State Election Management Committee and the Manifesto Drafting Committee will also be held on December 27, followed by a BJP Assam Pradesh Core Committee meeting in the presence of Nitin Nabin.
Earlier on December 26, Nabin will be accorded a warm welcome by party workers at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport upon his arrival in Guwahati.
