GUWAHATI, March 8: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) successfully concluded the fourth edition of the Honda Manesar Half Marathon 2026 — Run for Road Safety, held at its Global Resource Factory in IMT Manesar, Haryana.
The event coincided with International Women’s Day and aimed to promote road safety awareness while celebrating women’s empowerment.
More than 6,000 participants took part in the marathon, which featured three categories — a 5 km fun run, a 10 km run and the 21.1 km half marathon.
In the half marathon category, Sonika won the women’s race with a timing of 1 hour 22 minutes 36 seconds, while Emmanuel Rotich and Monu Kumar secured top positions in the men’s category with timings of 1 hour 04 minutes 48 seconds and 1 hour 05 minutes 44 seconds respectively.
The male winner of the half marathon received the Honda CB125 Hornet, while the female winner was awarded the Honda Dio125 X.
Winners in the 10 km race — Adesh and Reena — were presented with HMSI discount coupons worth ₹20,000 along with trophies.
A mega lucky draw was also organised for participants across multiple age categories, including 18–35 years, 35–45 years, 45–55 years and 55 years and above, with winners receiving a Honda Dio125 X edition.
HMSI stated that organising the event on International Women’s Day reinforced the message that road safety is a shared responsibility.
The initiative is part of the company’s broader vision of achieving zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles by 2050. The company thanked participants, government authorities of Haryana, the Industry Association of IMT Manesar and partner industries for supporting the initiative, reiterating its commitment to social causes such as road safety, healthcare, environmental sustainability and education.
