MBBS student dies in road accident at Kaliabor

KHERONI, May 11: A pall of gloom has descended over the Phelangpi area of Kheroni in West Karbi Anglong following the tragic demise of Mongve Ingti, a young medical student who lost his life in a horrific road accident at Hatigaon, Kaliabor.

Mongve Ingti was a second-year MBBS student at the Nagaon Medical College and Hospital (NMCH). Known for his academic dedication, his sudden passing has sent shockwaves across the Greater Kheroni region and his hometown.

Upon receiving the news, Mongve’s grief-stricken parents and family members rushed to Nagaon. The scene at the hospital was deeply emotional as the family had to confront the sudden loss of their young son.

In a particularly moving turn of events, Mongve’s elder brother, Sar-kiri Ingti, who is a final-year medical student at Barpeta Medical College and Hospital, also arrived at NMCH. Having to witness his younger brother’s lifeless body, Sar-kiri was seen breaking down in inconsolable grief, a sight that moved many bystanders to tears.

The authorities of Nagaon Medical College, along with the faculty and the entire student fraternity, gathered to pay their last respects to the departed soul. Following a solemn tribute held at the college premises, the mortal remains of Mongve Ingti were handed over to the family to be taken to his ancestral home in Phelangpi for the final rites.

The local community in Kheroni continues to mourn the loss of a promising youth who was on his way to serving society as a doctor.
