HT CorrespondentDEMOW, Aug 30: A road accident took place in Sivasagar near Gamon Bridge on Tuesday morning. A night super bus skidded off the road due to which few passengers were injured.
According to sources, a night super bus named Tanuj (AS 01 MC 0917) which was coming from Guwahati and heading towards Tinsukia skidded off the road near Gamon Bridge in Sivasagar on early morning of Tuesday. Fortunately, only a few passengers were injured. The locals helped the passengers to get out of the bus. The injured passengers were admitted to Sivasagar Civil Hospital.
Few passengers alleged that the driver of the bus was consuming alcohol and was driving the bus at high speed. The police reached the accident area and took stock of the situation and helped the passengers.
