World Literature Day observed

NALBARI, Sept 9: The ‘World Literature Day’ was observed in Nalbari district by Nehru Yuba Kalyan Kendra on Friday.
An open meeting was held in Pakowa Koibarta village where most of the women and senior citizens were present under the presidentship of Pabitra Datta, noted senior artist and social worker. Ramani Barman was present as chief guest of the meeting where he delivered a speech on the importance of World Literature Day. Inaugurating the meeting, Hirakjoti Barman, officer of Nehru Yuba Kalyan Kendra, Nalbari said that every citizen must be literate in order to understand what is right. The senior citizens were also felicitated with Assamese gamosa during the meeting.
