MARGHERITA, Sept 15: Sri Sri Madhavdev Tithi was observed at Adarsha Hindi Vidyalaya High school, Bargolai on Thursday.
It was the first time at Margherita sub-division, under Tinsukia district to observe Sri Sri Madhavdev Tithi at a school.
Aboni Chaliha, former Assam agitation leader of Margherita prayed for the well-being and prosperity of students and teachers of Adarsha Hindi Vidyalaya, Bargolai.
Rajshekhar Ambedkar, assistant teacher of Adarsha Hindi Vidyalaya, Bargolai said, “Sri Sri Madhavdev was a prominent preceptor of Ekasarana Dharma and is known for his loyalty to his Guru Srimanta Sankardev as well as his artistic brilliance.”
“Sri Sri Madhavdev is known for his books of hymn, Naam Ghosha and a large selection of songs called ‘borgeet’ and we are happy that we could observe the Tithi in Adarsha Hindi Vidyalaya,” added Rajshekhar Ambedkar.
Prasads were distributed among the students, teachers and other invited guests.
